Day 1: Constitutional SYSTEMS (Absent today? Complete THESE WORKSHEETS)

Using the cards given to you and your partner, answer the questions to the best of your ability. You should have 10 questions altogether.

You will need colored pencils or highlighters AND a calculator.
 
The Constitution of the United States of America is the supreme law of the United States. Empowered with the sovereign authority of the people by the framers and the consent of the legislatures of the states, it is the source of all government powers, and also provides important limitations on the government that protect the fundamental rights of United States citizens.

TASK 5: EXIT TICKET 
1. Which topics received the most attention in the Constitution? 
2. What does the map suggest hypotheses about the relative importance to the Founders of the powers of the new government? 
 3. To what extent do the powers of each branch of government displayed in the map match how the federal government works today?

TASK 2: Text code reading on HW Sheet (you must have at least 8 underlines and at least 6 text notations to earn a 3- high quality/craftsmanship earns a 4).  
TASK 3: Quotes about the Constitution’s Ratification: Pick a quote and reflect on it in the space on the HW sheet.
