4/11: US History 1 (9:51-10:35) and US History 2 (10:35-11:21)
LT1j: I can predict challenges for the newly formed nation.
LT2k: I can draw evidence from informational texts to support reflection.
POD (I have already written it on the board):
1.   Distribute the FW journals to students. If they do not have one, they should write the reflection on a spare sheet of paper and return it to you.
2.   DO NOW: Choose two of the questions (on board and below) to answer on the front of your FW journal.
a)   What was the most surprising/shocking thing you learned on the tour?
b)   What two things would you have done differently (personally) on the tour?
c)   What advice would you give to next year’s Grade 10 students for this trip?
d)   What lessons can you take away from this for Passage Portfolio?
e)   Who would you do a DP shout-out for (based on performance)? Explain.
f)     Was presenting aloud as bad as you thought it would be? Explain.
3.   Handout the CW (all three tasks are on the same sheet)
4.   TASK 1: Complete the Treaty of Paris Reading.
5.   TASK 2: Have students pick up an atlas (on front desk) and turn to pg. 32-33. Using the atlas, they should make three predictions and propose solutions to one prediction.
6.   TASK 3: Read the “MAKING a NATION” and complete the tasks as described.
7.   Collect the sheet at the end of the period.
8.   Please read the HW Review info below. Hand out sheets to all students, no matter what their break plans are.

HW Review: Students who come in to school on Wednesday and Thursday HAVE no SPRING BREAK HOMEWORK. If you do not come in to school, you HAVE SPRING BREAK HOMEWORK. Please distribute the HW sheets to students now. They should bring them with them on the first day of Spring Break. If not, they need to watch the video ON THE BLOG and complete the worksheet. Final sheet is due on 4/22 for LT and HOW grade.
