TOPIC 1: European Uses of Nature

Instructions: Click on the link above to access the reading. You can choose one of the FOUR options for an AfL grade. This must be completed no later than 10:45, for you to earn time to work on your AOL. Today's participation will be graded for the LT and the HOW Participation.

Show me that you can differentiate between Native American and European uses of the environment.
Option 1: Venn Diagram
Option 2: T-Chart
In this Venn diagram, you must include at least 20 total points, comparing the Native American and English viewpoints. Most of the points should be for the English viewpoints.

Create a T-chart with at least 25 points, with the Native Americans on one side, English colonists on the other.
Option 3: Illustration of Colonial English Village
Option 4: Images in Action
Create a drawing of an English Colonial village (think about Plimoth Plantation). In this you will need to label the major points of the reading, including the fences the agriculture, the roads, etc.
With one other partner, create a series of 5 pictures that clearly show the ENGLISH view of nature. You should pick 5 themes for each of the images and CLEARLY act it out. The images will need to be printed and then captioned.
